13 Celsius Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, 2013

Best New Zealand Wines

The 2013 – 13 Celsius Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is light and refreshing with floral and lemony citrus aromas.  We found this wine to be balanced with flavors of lime and a hint of pink grapefruit.  Typically being a fan of more full-bodied varietals, we were pleasantly surprised by the complexity of this crisp Sauvignon Blanc.   For around $15 per bottle, the 13 Celsius Sauvignon Blanc is a wonderful wine to enjoy on it’s own or paired with a light salad, fish, or pasta dish.

Parducci Sauvignon Blanc, 2008

This nose begins with aromas of creamy lemon, light tropical fruits, and just a hint of grass. The flavors are heavy lemon citrus with a hint of grapefruit and melon.  This is a light bodied, crisp, clean wine with a moderate finish.  But hey, for $12.99 you can’t beat the price for a nice drinkable everyday wine.  It paired very well with the ginger lemon Tilapia we had for dinner.  Plus the label states they are a family owned farm that practices sustainable farming.  An all around nice wine from California’s Mendocino county.
